Om verspilling van plastic tegen te gaan, stappen we over op digitale COC-ledenpassen. ? We maken hiervoor gebruik van Ledenpas.nl van Mediapoint B.V. in Heerhugowaard. Mediapoint drukt en verzendt al jaren onze ledenpassen. Met dit bedrijf hebben we een verwerkingsovereenkomst afgesloten conform de Algemene Verordening Gegevensverwerking. Met de digitale passen sparen we het milieu en besparen ook op de kosten voor drukwerk en porto. Dat geld kunnen we weer besteden aan onze activiteiten.

No app required

You do not need an app for the digital membership card. In fact, the pass is a web page containing the same information as on the plastic COC membership card: your name, your member number with barcode, which regional COC you are a member of and until when the membership card is valid. So you need a phone with a web browser and a working Internet connection.

Your digital membership card is already waiting for you. All you have to do is pick it up and activate it. You do this on your phone.

  • Step 1: Register using this link in your smartphone's web browser.
    Note: Use the mail address by which you are known to us in membership records. That is the mail address on which you received this email. If you enter a different mail address, you will not receive the email at step 2.

  • Step 2: You will receive an email with a link to a web page. Open that link, choose your password and activate your pass.

  • Step 3: With your email address and chosen password, your pass is now visible.

  • Step 4: Add the COC digital membership card to your phone's home screen.
    • Android (Chrome): In the upper right corner, click on the three-dot menu and then "Add to home screen.
    • iPhone (Safari): Click on 'the sharing icon' at the bottom, then choose 'Put on home screen'.

This puts the digital membership card on your phone and you always have it handy.

Your COC membership card is needed at member meetings, free or discounted admission to COC activities. Some regional COCs give discounts on drinks. They scan the bar code to do so. Some COCs also have agreements with businesses in their region about discounts for COC members. Check with your regional association.

P.S. We understand that not all members have a smartphone or are equally adept at this. That is no problem at all. They can still get a plastic pass by sending an email to the membership administration stating their membership number. The membership card will then be sent by mail within 10 days.

To reduce the waste of plastic we have introduced digitale COC membership passes. ? With digital passes we also save on the printing and postal costs. That money can be spend on our activities.

No special app

You don't need a special app for your digital pass. It's actually a webpage that has the same information as a plastic card: your name, membership number, a barcode, the regional COC and the expiry data of the card. The only think you need is a smart phone with an internet connection.

Your digital COC pass is waiting for you. You only need to activate it. Do this on your smart phone.

  • Step 1: Register via this link in a web browser of your smartphone and fill in your email address.
    Attention: only use the email address with which you are known in our membership administration. It is the mail address that you receive our email us. If you use a different email address, then you won't receive an email with a link as described in step 2.

  • Step 2: You will receive an email with a link to a webpage. Open that link, choose your password and click on Pas activeren.

  • Step 3: With your email address and chosen password, your pass is now visible.

  • Step 4: Add the COC pass to the start screen of your phone.
    • Android (Chrome): Click top right on the 3 dots in the menu and choose: 'Add to start screen'.
    • iPhone (Safari): Click in the bottom on the share icon and choose 'Add to start screen'.

Now the pass is on your phone and you will always carry it with you.

You need your COC membership pass at assemblies of your regional COC, free or discounted access to COC activities. Some regional COC's give a discount in the bar to their members. For this they scan the barcode. Some regional COC's have discount deals with shops in their region. Please ask your local COC.
